Poème : The Great Sunset

30 octobre 2018
The light has grown dimmer.
I wake up for the last time.

It is okay, for I listened to my heart.
I battled with my fears head on.
I learned from my mistakes and I forgave myself a long time ago.
I took on the responsibilities that were mine.

I called when I felt like calling.
I cried when I felt like crying.
I hugged when I felt like hugging.
I laughed. So much. So very much.
I watched a thousand good movies.
I stayed up to talk so many nights.
I answered the call of adventure.

And now that it is time to rest, I feel like resting.
Let me go now, calmly and without regrets. For I have lived.
